The University of Calgary Geography Department is hosting the CCA jointly with the Canadian Association of Geographers 2011 annual conference and meeting, May 31 - June 4, 2011. We will be meeting also with the first Canadian meeting of the Association of Canadian University Planning Programs (ACUPP).

Cartouche - CCA Newsletter
Changes to the editorial team

Patricia Conner Reid has stepped down as Cartouche editor. Her tenure covered issues 73 through 78. A new editorial team has taken over the task of producing Cartouche, which consists of: Diane LaCasse, Donna Williams, Anna Jasiak, Ivy Rose, and Eric Kramers. All work at the Atlas of Canada.


Cartographica
Changes to the editorial team

University of Toronto Press and the CCA announced changes to the Cartographica editorial team. A new Editor has joined it, Dr. Nigel Waters, Professor of Geography and Director of the Center of Excellence for Geographic Information Science at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Continuing on as Co-Editors are Professor Clifford H. Wood, Memorial University of Newfoundland (Retired) and Daniel G. Cole, GIS Coordinator, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC . Dr. Waters plans to bring on board two assistant or co-editors: Dr. Germana Manca and Dr. Andrew Crooks. We would like to thank Professor Jeremy Crampton, Georgia State University, outgoing Cartographica editor, for his years of dedicated service to the journal.
