The Canadian Cartographic Association will be meeting in conjunction with the Association of Canadian Map Libraries and Archives as CARTO 2008, being hosted at the University of British Columbia.

The University of British Columbia is delighted to be hosting this joint meeting of the two major organizations in Canada concerned with cartography in all its complexities and with the access to and care of cartographic materials.

Hosting this national event is an honor and a rare opportunity for any university. We last hosted ACMLA in 1995 and CCA in 1978.

The organizing committee looks forward to welcoming you to our beautiful campus in the spring of 2008 and invite you to explore our dynamic city with its museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants, parks, beaches, and nearby mountains.
