Awards, Prizes, and Scholarships
The CCA sponsors the long-standing President's Prize /Prix du Président for student map-making (with awards in three categories) and the Best Student Paper delivered at the annual conference. For those interested in pursuing cartographic education, there is also the Norman Nicholson Memorial Scholarship . The CCA is pleased to announce a new prize for 2005, the Carto-Québec Prize/Prix Carto-Québec.
All winners of student awards are automatically registered as Associate members of the CCA. Nicholson Scholarship winners are awarded Student memberships.
In 1994, the CCA introduced the Awards of Distinction to recognize individuals or groups who have made exceptional contributions to the association or to the field of cartography (see Holders of Awards of Distinction).
